Description

Southampton City Council is looking to appoint a suitably qualified legal advisor for the development of its Sport and Recreation Partnership; the successful advisor will develop Heads of Terms and Contracts for the Partnership; development of Leasehold arrangements supporting the Partnership; Legal Advice in relation to TUPE and staffing issues; provide general advice and negotiation support through the Competitive Dialogue process. The Council will require the legal advisor to have experience of similar contracts and leisure procurements; sound methodology for approaching the work; full understanding of the leisure industry and competitive dialogue processes. The advisor will require the ability to work effectively and efficiently with the Council, often within tight deadlines; provide a documented approach to quality management and delivering against key milestones. It is envisaged that the successful advisor will be appointed at the end of January 2009 with the mini competition documents being issued before 24 December 2008 and response required by mid January 2009. The duration of the agreement will be for approximately 18 months. The work required as part of the contract which includes the development of documents to be issued to bidders as part of the Outline Solutions Stage, will need to commence immediately on appointment.
