Description
The Contractor shall carry out comprehensive CCTV and condition surveys of the existing foul and storm collection systems, to assess the service and structural performance of the collection systems. The Contractor shall establish a schedule of improvement works necessary to bring the collection system to Kildare County Council and Irish Water’s Code of Practice and Technical Standards for taking in charge. The Contractor shall prepare a cost schedule for improvement works. The Contractor shall produce a condition report in accordance with the Water Research centre (WRc) “Manual for Sewer Condition Classification” (MSCC) 5th edition, with Sewer Risk Management (SRM) Manual 5 Scoring (SRM5 Scoring), or the latest version of the WRc MSCC at the time of survey. The Contractor shall produce As Constructed Drawings (ACDs) in accordance with the required standards. The CCTV surveys must include all manholes and pipelines within the identified site boundary. The Contractor must extend the survey as necessary into private gardens (with permission secured by the Contractor in advance) and into areas beyond the immediate site/estate boundary until the Contractor can demonstrate that they have correctly established the full extent of the system entering and leaving the development (i.e., until it enters the ‘in-charge’ public sewer system). Private lines, on private property, serving single dwellings only do not need to be surveyed. The extent and location of the collection systems is considered unknown. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to determine the full extent of the existing collection system. The Contractor shall clean the manholes and pipelines if necessary to complete the survey. Subject to instruction, the Contractor may be required to complete robotic cutting and, in some cases, install non-dig liners (with a 50year guarantee), as necessary to complete surveys.
