The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) is the semi-state body in Ireland with responsibility for the provision of Air Navigation Services (ANS). Part of these responsibilities is to provide an adequate Communications, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS) systems infrastructure to support ANS provision within Irish Airspace and at certain State run airports within Ireland. The IAA intends replacing the existing Instrument Runway Visual Range (IRVR) systems at Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports and installing an IRVR on the new parallel runway. The IAA have a requirement to replace all IRVR systems. IAA have a technical requirement for transmissometer type IRVR systems and in this regard, have a requirement for a market soundings exercise to identify suppliers with a suitable product which meets the IAA’s needs and technical requirements. Please be advised this is not a call for competition and IAA are not seeking tenders in this regard.
