Newham Council is inviting applications from suitable organisations for the development and implementation of an arts and culture programme in North Woolwich, with a focus on Pier Parade. North Woolwich is located in Beckton and Royal Docks Community Neighbourhood, in the south of the borough. There is limited cultural activity and there is a sense of isolation among the community. Arts and culture are recognised as powerful tools to foster social inclusion and it is envisaged that this programme will begin to make local people feel part of the wider Newham community.
