Contracts have been awarded for the provision of Aiming High Short Breaks services for disabled children and young people, across four Lots and associated Sub-Lots. The services include weekend, after-school, holidays, and buddy scheme support in Kingston and Richmond. The procurement was run under the Light Touch Regime of PCR 2015 via an open procedure. Contract duration (3+1+1 years) Lot 1: Lot 1 – Weekend Services (Kingston and Richmond) Provision of weekend clubs for children and young people aged 4–17 with SEND (moderate and high needs) in Kingston and Richmond. Clubs offer daytime, building-based activities to develop social skills, confidence, and independence, while providing families and carers with respite from caring duties. Sessions typically 5 hours, 38–50 per year per sub-lot. Providers are required to deliver services from suitable premises located within each borough. Sub-lots awarded: 1a (Kingston Moderate Needs) 1b (Richmond Moderate Needs) 1c (Kingston High Needs) 1d (Richmond High Needs) Lot 2: Lot 2- After School Clubs (Kingston Only) Provision of after school clubs for children and young people aged 4–17 with SEND (moderate and high needs) in Kingston. Clubs run during school term-time, 2+ hours per session, at least once per week for 38 weeks per year. Activities promote independence, social skills, and confidence, while providing families and carers with respite from caring duties. Providers are required to deliver services from suitable premises located within each borough. Sub-lots awarded: 2a (Kingston Moderate Needs) 2c (Kingston High Needs) Sub-lots not awarded: (due to lack of suitable bid) 2b (Richmond Moderate Needs) 2d (Richmond High Needs) Lot 3: Lot 3 - Holidays & Half Term (Kingston and Richmond) Provision of school holiday clubs for children and young people aged 4–17 with SEND (moderate and high needs) in Kingston and Richmond. Clubs provide daytime, building-based activities during half-terms and school holidays to develop social skills, independence, and confidence, while providing families and carers with respite from caring duties. Sessions typically 5 hours, 20–40 per year per sub-lot. Providers must operate from accessible, local premises with trained staff and robust safeguarding procedures. Sub-lots awarded: 3a (Kingston Moderate Needs) 3b (Richmond Moderate Needs) 3c (Kingston High Needs) 3d (Richmond High Needs) Lot 4: Lot 4 – Buddy Scheme (Kingston and Richmond) This Lot provides a community-based buddying service for children and young people with moderate SEND needs in Kingston and Richmond. The service matches participants with trained buddies to support social interaction, confidence-building, and access to local leisure or community activities. The model offers flexible respite to families and carers and promotes greater independence for young people. Sub-lots awarded: 4a (Kingston Moderate Needs) 4b (Richmond Moderate Needs)
