Sporting Event Legal Drafting Support for the New Staging Agreement

Description

An externally appointed consultant will be responsible for leading and shaping commercial negotiations and providing clear instructions to inform legal drafting for a new staging agreement for hosting the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre. The legal adviser will be called on to provide strategic legal advice (in supporting negotiations) and in structuring the various legal agreements. This will call for, among other areas, currency and expertise in matters of subsidy control/state aid, procurement law, construction funding agreements. Awareness and knowledge of hosting agreements – including sponsorship/rights are expected to be relevant and beneficial. The appointed legal adviser will support the deal structure, ensure regulatory compliance, and contractual efficacy and will draft all contractual documents.
