Framework Contract for Supply and Maintenance of Equipment for Motor Vehicle Safety compliance and Experimental Testing

Description

The Regulation 2018/858 has introduced mandatory vehicle market surveillance to be carried out by Member States and the Commission. DG-GROW, responsible for the file, and the JRC have agreed that the Sustainable Transport Unit (C.4) of the Directorate for Energy, Transport and Climate (Dir C-C.4) will carry out the physical vehicle testing for both emissions and safety related aspects envisaged by the Regulation. In this framework, ADAS functions need to be tested which required the procurement of testing equipment such as driving robots, testing dummies and mobile platforms. These pieces of equipment can be used for autonomous vehicles and for the development of UN ECE regulations.
