Description

The Authority has a requirement to procure a contract for the provision of mechanical engineers to RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth for maintenance of aircraft ground equipment of the Typhoon Jet engines. Further details can be found within the Statement of Requirement. The Contract will be for a duration of four years, with an optional extension for one additional year. The Contract will be procured via the Open Procedure under the Procurement Act 2023. This is considered a Defence and Security Contract due to its scope and therefore the relevant provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 are applicable. It is anticipated that TUPE will apply to this requirement. The ITT and suitability assessment will be conducted in parallel. All tenderers will need to complete the Qualification, Technical, and Commercial envelopes. Should only one compliant tender be received, the Authority reserves the right to switch to direct award and negotiate in accordance with the Single Source Contract Regulations 2014.
