This preliminary market engagement notice is being published in order to comply with the Procurement Act 2023, to publish information regarding preliminary market engagement which has already been undertaken in respect of cleaning and maintenance of WMCA highway infrastructure assets. A prior information notice was published on 15th October 2024 to inform the market of an early market engagement event which took place online on 7th November 2024. The event was aimed at potential suppliers that were interested in assisting WMCA with their future strategy and any potential future procurement. This was followed up by a supplier questionnaire, which aimed to assist the WMCA with future strategy and any potential opportunity for interested suppliers to engage further. The objectives of the Market Engagement were primarily to: • Determine suppliers within each space • Help determine future strategy and • Help determine suitable contracting agreements going forward WMCA are intending to publish tender notices relating to this market engagement early in 2026.
