ON ISLAND CONTRACTORS ONLY The original Victoria Pier was constructed in 1846 with the expansion of the north face quayside to provide dockside lifting equipment and operations completed in 1930. Due to its age, deterioration has been being experienced with evidence of structural movement and cracking observed. Ports of Jersey would like to assess the structural damage experienced to the north face of Victoria Pier. The intention is to assess the structural distress to the East Gallery of Victoria Pier, with the future purpose to maintain stability and extend its operational use.
