Description
A planning, prioritisation and programme management tool with reporting capability for use across National Grid entities and businesses by enterprise Transformation Office and Business Change functions. The software must have the capability to prioritize projects and programs against the company's goals, objectives and constraints. It must allow tracking key elements of delivery against financial, resource, timescale and risk targets. The software should also have the capability to strategically plan and prioritize IT projects to achieve digital transformation goals. The software needs to be capable of global deployment (US and UK) and associated maintenance. A strategic portfolio management tool to support strategic planning, prioritization and oversight of program delivery. The software must provide insight driven planning and prioritization capabilities to help leaders make smart decisions in the prioritization of projects and allocation of resources, through providing traceability to strategic company goals and objectives. The software must monitor delivery of business change initiatives to support dependency management and benefits realisation, and should facilitate National Grid embracing more agile planning and delivery methods. The software should include rich visualisation and reporting for different user groups including executive leaders. The software should be data driven and integrate with existing corporate enterprise systems such as financial (ERP) and enterprise Risk Management/Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems. National Grid's requirements include support for IT strategic planning and demand management including the analysis of application and technology portfolios to ensure alignment of IT programs with enterprise digital transformation goals.
