Description

Exeter St Davids Station lifts serving platforms 1 to 6 are scheduled for renewed by Network Rail (NR) commencing in January 2026. As part of NR's Construction Phase Plan (CPP), all lifts will be out of operational service at the same time for the duration of works, which is envisaged to be up to six months. The rationale is to shorten the overall programme of works, reducing the disruption to passengers and colleagues rather than by taking one lift out of service at a time. To maintain GWRs contractual obligations for accessibility during these renewals, a business requirement for this project is to design and install a new modular passenger assisted travel lounge as a temporary facility, to manage and support the day-to-day station operations at Exeter St Davids Station.
