National Highways is seeking the provision of services to undertake research into the following two areas: - Road markings certification site - Audible road markings The overall objectives of this work order are to undertake research to: - Identify the feasibility of National Highways developing, implementing and operating a road marking certification site on the strategic road network, in line with the requirements set out in BS EN 1824 (Road marking materials - Road trials). - Identify potential new road marking profiles which provide a sensory effect (audible and/or vibratory) whilst remaining compliant with the maximum height of road markings prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
