Description

NEPO awarded a Framework Agreement for the provision of Children and Adult’s Social Care Barrister Services, which commenced 4th April 2022, following conclusion of an initial competitive tender process. Under the exemptions allowed under Regulation 10, NEPO has exercised its right to tailor this Framework Agreement and the procurement process in line with the needs of its Member Authorities, to reopen the Framework Agreement for new entrants at our discretion. The Framework Agreement includes representation in judicial proceedings before the courts and legal advice given in anticipation of or preparation for such proceedings. The Framework Agreement will be available to NEPO Member Authorities as detailed in the Contracting Authorities Section and will be delivered within the North East of England. The Framework will consist of a single Lot with multiple Providers, NEPO Member Authorities will be able to appoint Providers via Direct Award. The Framework Agreement will be in place for a maximum of 48 months and will cover all Barristers services that provide specialist advice and advocacy in relation to Children and Adults’ Social Care matters. Member Authorities Legal teams will be able to nominate a Barrister based on their experience and the Legal team’s requirements regarding the appropriate Barrister to undertake the case.
