Description
The council requires a supplier for the provision of Cultural Humility and Safety training. It is proposed that the training should utilise the Birmingham Cultural Humility and Safety pathway to develop and provide Cultural Humility and Safety training for a cohort of Council staff as well as Train the trainer sessions to a smaller cohort to ensure sustainability of the offer. The supplier will be required to provide a training programme which meets the follow requirements: Training format: o Minimum of 6 hours o Delivered face-to-face o Delivered to a minimum 260 staff across the council, including all public health staff and at least one other Council Directorate with public-facing staff members (to be decided by BCC Public Health). o Delivered across multiple sessions to ensure a maximum of 18 people per training session groups Training content: o Utilise the CHS pathway to either strengthen an existing training programme or develop a new training programme to provide CHS training. o Provide emphasis on, and opportunity for self-reflection and safe spaces for discussion to better understand personal and systemic biases, and address power imbalances o Build attendees awareness of, and interest in, Cultural Humility and Safety o Increase attendees' knowledge and understanding of Cultural Humility and Safety o Build attendees confidence in developing trusting, respectful relationships with other staff and clients from a variety of backgrounds o Equip attendees with the skills and capacity to develop and facilitate personal interactions that acknowledge and respect cultural differences o Facilitate further opportunity for learning and growth e.g. post-training networks, post-training resource pack etc. This contract will be for a maximum period of 12 months commencing 31st July 2024 until 31st July 2025.
