Description
The contract is for the provision of approximately 263 vehicles (-/+ 10%) starting with deliveries for Bolton at Home in November 2018 and October 2019 for First Choice Homes Oldham. The contract will also include for the provision of a full fleet management service and repairs including the prompt provision of replacement vehicles to keep the fleet at the required number and profile and keep disruption of operations to a minimum. The successful bidder for this lot 1 will need to work with the successful bidder of lot 2 to ensure that vehicles are delivered on time complete with telematics. Under the contract, the Contractor and its supply chain will be required to actively participate in the achievement of social objectives relating to employment, [skills development and training] initiatives. Accordingly, the contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social considerations. Further details of any such conditions will be included in the contract documents. BH/FCHO require all new fleet vehicles to be fitted with a vehicle tracking and telematics system prior to vehicle delivery. The supplier must offer compatible interactive software that will provide management information and reports. The software would either need to be web-based or compatible with BH/FCHO IT systems. The system must be updated on a regular basis and be covered under warranty. The tracking devices will be used to help reduce mileage and improve productivity and to help ensure health and safety of staff by having full visibility of all vehicles at all times, as well as to support BH/FCHO in the event of any accidents or incidents. The successful bidder for this lot 2 will need to work with the successful bidder of lot 1 to ensure that vehicles are delivered on time complete with telematics.
