Description

In October 2016 the Universities of Leeds and Cambridge are issued a joint tender for equipment to support advanced materials research funded by the Royce Institute. This part shall provide a means to transfer samples in UHV conditions between the various deposition chambers in the system in Leeds. It shall provide at least 1 load-lock mechanism for introducing substrates to the system and may also provide a facility for de-gassing substrates and/or removing protective cap layers. This lot consists of 2 deposition chambers, a buffer/sample preparation chamber and a load lock. The 2 growth chambers are intended for Molecular beam epitaxy of complex alloys with 2D properties such as topologically protected transport.
