Description

Re-roofing of Ysgol Bro Aled (Flat Roof) including:Main Roof:1) Strip all existing roofing materials down to deck level;2) Examine deck for signs of wear or damage and repair / remediate as necessary as per Sika Specification;3) Installation of wallplates / sole / headplates as necessary;4) Installation of steel beam (as shown on drawing 05825L-CCE-XX-XX-DR-A-001 and Cadarn Structural Calculations sheet);5) Installation of posi-joists;6) Installation of new 18mm OSB deck;7) Installation of SIKA capping system (Vapour layer, insulation, underlay, cap-sheet etc. as per Sika Specification);8) Raising / replacement and sealing of existing protrusions etc. with new upstands to accommodate new roof height;9) Removal of existing cold roof vents and sealing the roof buildup along all perimeters;10) Removal of the existing mineral wool from voids;11) Installation of new UPVC fascias and guttering to accommodate new roof height.Infill Roof:1) Prepare existing roof by de-chipping, cleaning etc.;2) Examine existing felt surfaces for signs of wear, previous repairs or damage and repair / remediate as necessary as per Sika Specification;3) Installation of SIKA capping system (Vapour layer, insulation, underlay, cap-sheet etc. as per Sika Specification);4) Raising / replacement and sealing of existing protrusions etc. with new upstands to accommodate new roof height;5) Removal of existing rooflights and replacement with new;6) Installation of new UPVC fascias and guttering to accommodate new roof height.Windows:1) Hall windows to be removed, framed and boarded over inside and out with 50mm Sikatherm insulation within the voids;2) Exterior to be made good by preparing and painting with suitable exterior paint (white) to manufacturers instructions;Interior to be made good by preparing and painting with suitable interior emulsion (to match existing interior wall colour (to be confirmed with school representative)) to manufacturers instructions.3) Interior to be made good by preparing and painting with suitable interior emulsion (to match existing interior wall colour (to be confirmed with school representative)) to manufacturers instructions.Contractors to consult Specification and Contract Docs and supporting information.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=159817.The buyer has indicated that it will accept electronic responses to this notice via the Postbox facility.
