Description

Wirral Council are seeking to commission a Short Break Service that is able to provide personal care and support for people with learning disabilities and/or autism and physical disabilities in Wirral. Short Breaks provide short term, temporary care for people who are normally cared for in their own home by a family member or friend who is not paid for their caring tasks. Short Breaks are beneficial to both Service Users and Carers as it enables the Carer to have a break from their caring responsibilities and can also enable the Service User to have a break without the Carer. The aim of Short Breaks is to enable personalised, quality, informal care arrangements to be sustained; the provision of this support also supports Carers to continue with their caring role and helps to keep people at home.
