Rotherham Council would like to procure a ‘Feasibility Service’ for business owners exploring employee ownership in its various forms. The service will enable Rotherham’s business owners to make a well-informed decision about whether employee ownership is right for them, their business and team. RMBC, SYMCA and local business advisors will directly refer business owners to this service to ensure that business owners can access high-quality, tailored advice about employee ownership to inform their decision. Rotherham Council is looking to understand the level of market interest and supplier capability in delivering the employee ownership feasibility service. This preliminary engagement is intended to gauge supplier appetite and inform a subsequent Request for Quote (RFQ) exercise. The feasibility service will be delivered in two parts. The brief is as follows: 1. To hold an initial consultation to understand the business case, exit requirements and explore motivations in considering employee ownership. 2. To produce a written feasibility study that must enable the business owner to make a well-informed decision about whether employee ownership is right for them, their business and team.
