Courses to improve parents’ confidence to: - • read to and with their children on a daily basis • use the world around them as learning opportunities, i.e., when out and about commenting on the world around them • support their children’s readiness for school by exploring appropriate ways to introduce their child to - working with numbers - phonics - increasing the words in their vocabulary - reading - making ‘marks’ (precursor to writing) - exploring the world around them and / or • support their children in Key Stage 1 by exploring appropriate ways to support them with homework across - Maths - English - Science Keywords: Literacy skills for adults, Numeracy skills for adults
