The procurement concerns a standby contract for installer standby related to seacabels and land cables, primarily for network companies. The REN Association has established storage facilities for high voltage submarine power cables and submarine cable accessories for contingency deployment in Norway. This Request for Quotation is for a Framework Agreement to furnish specialist crew and equipment for work onboard cable vessels or at onshore landing sites, for repairs and replacement of underground and submarine cable installations. Personnel must be licensed for and experienced in splicing and repairs of high voltage submarine and land power cables. All documents pertaining to this RFQ are in Norwegian and no translation will be provided by REN SKB. Furthermore, the repair crew foreman, and all other leading management positions must be fluent in the Norwegian language and familiar with relevant Norwegian regulations and procedures. All other crew members must be fluent in a Scandinavian language. The REN Association has established storage facilities for high voltage submarine power cables and submarine cable accessories for contingency deployment in Norway. REN also administrates a web-based database for decentralized contingency cables and accessories (“REN-beredskap”). Participating members thus have access to cables, cable accessories and vessels for repairs and replacement of defective cable systems when time is of the essence. This request for quotation is for a Framework Agreement to furnish specialist crew and equipment for work onboard cable vessels or at onshore landing sites, for repairs and replacement of submarine cable installations. Furthermore, to be at disposal for repairing underground cable systems elsewhere when need arises. Personnel must be licensed for and experienced in splicing and repairs of high voltage submarine and land power cables. Whereas tenderers may submit proposals in English or a Scandinavian language all documents pertaining to this RFQ are in Norwegian and no translation will be provided by REN SKB. Furthermore, the repair crew foreman, and all other leading management positions must be fluent in the Norwegian language and familiar with relevant Norwegian regulations and procedures. All other crew members must be fluent in a Scandinavian language.
