Description
Overview Islington Council is seeking providers for a Supported Accommodation Pathway for Young People (16-25 years old) with diverse needs in Islington. The aim of the pathway is to provide safe and suitable accommodation and care and support for young people, with a focus on preparing them for independent living. The council plans to establish a flexible framework arrangement with call off options, for a period of six years, with an estimated start date of 1 April 2026. The initial offer would be for contracts for up to 100 units of supported accommodation for young people. However, our intention is that the council may utilise call offs over the life of the framework to secure extra provision of up to an additional 100 units of supported accommodation for young people, based on demand. We invite interested parties to a market engagement event to share our plans and get feedback from the wider market. Market Engagement Event The event will take place remotely over Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 8 July 2025, 11-12 am. During the event there will be the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the proposed service. The event will give an overview of the service including proposed sub-categories. The session will also provide information about the procurement process and timeline for procurement. To register for the event please contact mhcommissioning@islington.gov.uk A Microsoft Teams link will be sent out before the event. If you require more information, please use the messaging system on the London Tenders Portal. Purpose of the event The purpose of this market engagement is to maximise transparency and competition for the upcoming contract notice. All details are subject to being updated or changed in the final contract notice. This is not an invitation to tender, nor does it preclude or favour eligibility to participate in the formal procurement once it starts. It is a process solely to test the current market capacity, to scope the services, engage with a wide range of stakeholders and inform the procurement process. The council reserves the right to cancel, postpone, suspend or abort this procurement at any stage. The issue of this notice in no way commits the council to commence the procurement process.
