R332 Kilbannon Road Realignment Scheme Tuam County Galway

General Description of Project The scheme proposes to widen/realign the exiting R332 carriageway through Kilbannon in Co. Galway. The scheme will include the realignment of the crossroads at Kilbannon and the provision of footpaths in the village. The scheme will also realign approximately 1.6 kilometer of the R332 Regional Road and provide for a shared cycle/footpath connecting St Benin’s School /Kilbannon crossroads and the Kilconly GAA club. The scheme will include the alignment and tie-in of side roads. All ancillary services associated with the scheme are included. The execution and completion of the works include the provision of the following: • Various Drainage Works • Various site clearance works • Various earthworks • Various fencing works • Various signage works • Various landscaping and planting works • Diversions of utilities including water mains, Eircom communication utilities and ESB electrical utilities • Various ancillary works • Various accommodation works which includes access to properties, lands and fields which will require constant liaison with the private property owner The work is to be carried out in accordance with the TII Specification for Works
