Description

Non-exclusive framework agreement for the supply of polymer products to NHS Supply Chain depots via the Stocked/Blue Diamond route or direct to customers via the e-Direct route to market. This framework agreement will have an initial term of 12 or 24 months depending on the lot with an option to extend incrementally for up to a total period of 24 or 36 months, not exceeding 48 months in total. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement the value of purchases will be circa GBP 18 850 000 and if extended the 4-year purchase value will be in the region of GBP 37 700 000, however this is approximate only and includes a forecast for growth. The values may vary depending on the requirements of those bodies purchasing under the framework agreement. The delay for publishing the Contract Award Notice has been to allow for conditions of award to be satisfied and to plan the new commencement date for the Framework. Lot 1: Clinical and Offensive Waste Bags Clinical Waste Bags required in the following colours; orange, yellow and yellow with purple stripe. Offensive Waste Bags in yellow with black stripe. Applicants who submitted a bid were required to tender for all products listed within this lot. Samples were required for testing against NHS Supply Chain specification. Applicants needed to provide UN3291 certificates for Clinical Waste Bags before the award could be made/concluded. The products within this lot are supplied to the NHS Supply Chain depots via the Stock and Blue Diamond routes and to the NHS Supply Chain customer base via the E-Direct route. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement, the value of purchases for this lot will be circa GBP 6 100 000 excluding VAT and for the full 48-month term (if extended), the anticipated value will be circa GBP 12 200 000 excluding VAT. Lot 2: Domestic Waste Bags Domestic waste bags required in the following colours: clear and black. Applicants who submitted a bid were required to tender for all products listed within this lot. The products within this lot are supplied to the NHS Supply Chain depots via the Stock and Blue Diamond routes and to the NHS Supply Chain customer base via the E-Direct route. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the framework agreement, the value of purchases for this lot will be circa GBP 900 000 excluding VAT and for the full 48-month term (if extended), the anticipated value will be circa GBP 1 800 000 excluding VAT. Lot 8: Alginate Stitch Laundry Bags Alginate Stitch Laundry Bags required in the colour red. Applicants who submitted a bid were required to tender for all products listed within this lot. Samples were required for testing against NHS Supply Chain specification. The products within this lot are supplied to the NHS Supply Chain depots via the Stock and Blue Diamond routes and to the NHS Supply Chain customer base via the E-Direct route. It is anticipated that in the first 12 months of the framework agreement, the value of purchases for this lot will be circa GBP 150 000 excluding VAT and for the full 48-month term (if extended), the anticipated value will be circa GBP 600 000 excluding VAT. Lot 9: Specialist Lines Specialist items required including but not limited to: tabards, specialist clinical waste bags, specialist offensive waste bags, specialist cytotoxic waste bags, drawsheets, mattress bags, printed bags and compostable products.
