Description
The contract will involve the successful contractor undertaking medical adaptations and associated works within Barrhead Housing Association existing residential dwellings over a 4 year period from the commencement date. Currently, Barrhead Housing Association undertake and provide approximately Thirty (30) adaptations to existing bathrooms annually to their customers who reside in Barrhead, Neilston, Thornliebank and Newton Mearns. Individual orders will be issued for each adaptation required during the contract and bidders are advised that Barrhead Housing Association currently issue approximately sixty (60)-Seventy(70) oders per annum in relation to medical adaptation works. Individual orders may include full medical adaptation works to an existing bathroom or shower room, singular or multiple component works or trades. Barrhead Housing Association are seeking to establish a contract for the provision of medical adaptations to existing residential properties with a suitably experienced and qualified contractor. The contract is intended to commence in September 2019 and will operate for a maximum of 4 years (with the option for an extension of one further year) subject to satisfactory performance of the successful bidder which will be measured through key performance indicators. The contract will primarily be delivered in Barrhead, Neilston, Newton Mearns and Thornliebank, East Renfrewshire. The anticipated contract value is 70 000 GBP per annum (excluding VAT). Interested parties are advised that a 'Meet the Buyer' event shall be held at the offices of Williamsburgh Housing Association, Paisley, at 10.00 a.m. on 25.4.2019. The event is free of charge and shall provide further information through an overview of Williamsburgh Housing Association's requirements and how to complete the tender documentation. The event will also provide an opportunity for interested parties to ask questions of the buyer face-to-face. The question and answer session will be recorded and will be made available as 'additional information' through the Public Contracts Scotland portal during the tender period. Places are limited and interested parties are restricted to a maximum of 2 delegates from their organisation. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and further information on the 'Meet the Buyer' event schedule will be issued to registered delegates in advance of 25.4.2019. In the event of over-subscription we may restrict attendance to a single delegate per organisation.
