Coach and Minibus Hire Services

Description

The University of Southampton currently utilises coach and minibus services to carry students, patients, visitors and staff to and from various locations both local to the University in Hampshire and further afield nationally.<br /><br />The University seeks to establish a Framework Agreement with multiple Suppliers consisting of two Lots, set out as follows:<br /><br />Lot 1 - Coach & Minibus Hire Services<br />Lot 1 will consist of a maximum of five suppliers and will provide a coach and minibus hire service with a driver included. The University spends approximately £330,000.00 on Coach and Minibus Hire Services per annum. It is anticipated that usage will continue at similar levels to these figures. However, it should be noted that there would be no minimum level of business guaranteed to the Suppliers who are awarded a place on this Framework Agreement.<br /><br />Lot 2 – International Student Collection Services<br />Lot 2 will consist of a maximum of three suppliers and will provide executive transport services for international students from major UK airports. The University spends approximately £44,000.00 on International Student Collection Services per annum. It is anticipated that usage will continue at similar levels to these figures. However, it should be noted that there would be no minimum level of business guaranteed to the Suppliers who are awarded a place on this Framework Agreement.<br /><br />It is essential that Suppliers awarded a place on this Framework Agreement monitor usage of the service and ensure the most cost-effective provision of vehicles to meet demand.<br /><br />The Contract for the provision of these services is considered by the University to be a major service contract; therefore, it is important that the highest standard of service is maintained. Suppliers will be expected to provide positive solutions to any problems encountered during the delivery of the Contract.
