About adding context and requirements test Work done so far circa 35k users have been transformed to the new infrastructure and service. This has meant BETA testing completed in 2022 and since Mid 2022 we have been commencing transition. This is now rapidly increasing as several business Applications are ready to be available via Cloud First Which phase the project is in Live Existing team You will be working within the CF Print Project and BAU team to deliver : CF Printer Migration project PMT Tool FAS Print Pilot and Implementation XEROX and PSE Application MFDR Procurement Support MFDR Print Transition Address where the work will be done Manchester HUB 2 St Peter’s Square | Manchester - M2 3AA ; potential for other DWP offices by exception Working arrangements Requirement to be in Manchester Office as required with the potential of 40% hybrid in office Provide more information about your security requirements: Security Check (SC) Latest start date 2023-12-11 Enter the expected contract length: 9 months Extension period: 1 month Write the term or acronym: MSUP; CF; PSE Explain the term or acronym: Microsoft Universal Print; Cloud First; Print Support Experience; Are you prepared to show your budget details?: Yes Indicative maximum: 90000 Confirm if you require a contracted out service or supply of resource Supply of resource: the off-payroll rules may apply Summary of work DWP has an estate of circa 5000 Xerox printers and circa 100,000 W10 devices transitioning to CF and CF printing. The project is approx 35% complete with a target to be 70% by April 24 and the remaining transitioned by July 2024. A Printer Infrastructure specialist is required to build the team and working practices; The person will be part of the Cloud First Print Team with access to the Senior Service Manager and other infrastructure engineers as required. As well as this project support the individual will be engaged in fix on fail Incident The person will need the following essential skills: 1. Using previous MSUP knowledge have the ability to solve queries and incidents and define improvement opportunities to increase the level of service delivered; this includes fault identification (as in which part of the infrastructure has failed); 2. Consolidated Xerox PSE Application knowledge to define the road map for DWP Secure Pin printing and supplier engagement experience to continue the dialogue with Xerox for development of their product; 3. Actively define and produce Capacity Management plans to ensure the application architecture is both resilient and robust to meet the CF business printing demands for project completion, including delivery of the product scaling. Where the supplied staff will work North West England Who the organisation using the products or services is Department for Work and Pensions Why the work is being done DWP strategic aim is to move 100,000 latops to be Cloud First and the existing Xerox 5,000 printers to print via Microsoft Universal Print solution by mid 2024. This requires the Print Support Experience Application to be installed and used for the features in complex printing such as secure pin print, stapling and collation. The business problem you need to solve The business have very demanding deadlines to meet and require the transition to Cloud First Printing to be successful with no downtime impacts to their business operation. Currently circa 35% of the business will be transformed by Dec 2023; 70% by Apr 2024 and 100% by July 2024.
