The Procurement of SAT-AIS Data Services

Description

The objective of this call for tender is to award a framework service contract for the procurement of SAT-AIS data services to be processed by EMSA’s applications. The services foreseen in this tender are divided in two lots, one for primary, low latency SAT-AIS services (lot 1) and the other for backup/supplementary, high-density SAT-AIS services (lot 2). Lot 1: Low Latency Data – Primary Service. Lot 1's main objective is the worldwide acquisition of SAT-AIS data with a timeliness of less than 6 minutes, for 95 % of all detected messages per day. Lower latency is considered the main priority and data volume as secondary. Tenderers should be capable to acquire SAT-AIS data from all AIS transponders including class A, and where possible class B. Lot 2: High Density Data – Backup/Supplementary Service Lot 2's main objective is the acquisition of high volumes of SAT-AIS data, with a timeliness not exceeding 45 minutes, for 95 % of all detected messages per day. Data volume is considered as the main priority and latency as secondary. Tenderers should be capable to acquire SAT-AIS data from all AIS transponders including class A, and where possible class B.
