Munster Technological University is seeking tenders from competent providers for the supply of a hydraulic universal materials testing machine for its engineering laboratories at MTU Bishopstown, Cork, Ireland. MTU seek competent tenderers to supply and deliver laboratory equipment for materials testing. the hydraulic universal testing machine shall incorporate a computer console and data logger and be capable of testing a range of materials including steel, concrete, timber and Fiber reinforced polymers to the relevant EN and ASTM standards. the tensile capacity of the equipment shall be a minimum of 1000kn. the compression testing capacity of the equipment shall be a minimum of 2,000kn. the machine shall be provided with all necessary mechanical grips and other equipment necessary to complete materials tests to the relevant en and astm standards. the computer console shall be capable of providing a simultaneous display of force/ change of length, force/time and time/change of length etc. and a full record of the test on completion. the tender sum shall include for the supply, installation and calibration of the universal hydraulic testing machine in cork, Ireland. the tender sum shall include for the delivery of on-site training to laboratory and academic staff in cork, Ireland. the tender sum shall include a for the attendance on site 12 months after installation for re-calibration of the machine.
