Description

How often research will happen The frequency may fluctuate over the period as project demands change, but no more than once every 2 weeks. Research location The majority of research will be conducted remotely. In-person research sessions will most likely be conducted from one of HM Land Registry's 14 offices, plus Geovation, F4 Sutton Yard, 65 Goswell Road, London, EC1V 7EN https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/hm-land-registry-office-addresses/office-addresses Description of your participants Participants will be members of the public or professionals who interact with HM Land Registry services. This includes, but is not limited to: Citizens who are in the process of buying or selling a property, have recently moved home, or are planning to do so in the near future. Small business owners who deal with land or property ownership, leases, or registration. Landlords who manage one or more properties, either as individuals or through a business. Conveyancers, solicitors, and property professionals who regularly interact with HM Land Registry services on behalf of clients. Participants may be required to have specific experiences relevant to each research study, such as recent interactions with property transactions, using the HM Land Registry website, or dealing with land registration processes. HM Land Registry aim to recruit a representative sample that reflects the diversity of the population, including a mix of demographics (e.g., age, gender, ethnicity, region), digital confidence levels (from limited to high proficiency), and accessibility needs. This includes users from underrepresented or marginalised groups, as well as those with disabilities or impairments. Participants must: Be willing to take part in remote or in-person sessions as required. Be prepared to provide informed digital consent prior to participation. Be comfortable with their session being recorded (audio, video, or screen) for research analysis purposes. Not have taken part in user research with HM Land Registry within the last 3 months, unless part of a longitudinal study. Depending on the study, we may also require participants who: Use assistive technology (e.g., screen readers, magnifiers). Have limited digital skills or confidence using online services. The successful supplier will be responsible for sourcing participants who meet specific research criteria, managing logistics such as scheduling and communication, and, where required, administering participant incentives. Participants may be required to take part in both remote and in-person research sessions, depending on the study. For remote sessions, the supplier may be asked to conduct basic tech checks to ensure participants are able to join and take part effectively. All participants must be provided with digital consent forms in advance of taking part. HM Land Registry's research involves a wide range of users, including citizens navigating the homebuying process, landlords, and small business owners. We also need to engage with users from underrepresented groups and individuals with access needs. The supplier must therefore demonstrate inclusive recruitment practices and the ability to reach diverse participant profiles. All recruitment must be carried out in line with ethical standards and relevant data protection regulations, including the UK GDPR. We are looking for a supplier who can work collaboratively, adapt to evolving study needs, and provide high-quality, dependable recruitment services that enable inclusive and impactful user research.
