Description

The service is designed to support people fleeing situations of domestic abuse by offering them safe accommodation either in the form of refuge or dispersed accommodation in communities across the borough and operates to support women, children and males who require support. Safe accommodation refers to secure locations that provide a level of specialist support for victims of domestic abuse as defined by the legislation. This includes various forms such as refuges and specialist accommodation, and sanctuary schemes, which offer safety and support tailored to meet the needs of the survivor. Safe accommodation is designed to enable survivors to move on safely from abusive situations, ensuring they have access to the necessary resource and assistance.
