Description

Title: 715631457 Surveillance & Target Acquisition Framework Agreement Defence Equipment & Support, the procurement arm of the UK Ministry of Defence, the Lethality and Protect, Gunnery Systems and Munitions, Dismounted Close Combat Team, intends to establish a three year non-committal multi supplier, multi product closed Defence and Security Framework for the procurement and support of Surveillance & Target Acquisition (STA) Capabilities with a potential value up to £100M. The Framework will enable the procurement of STA capabilities through the pre-approval of suppliers and in-service products and seeks to deliver innovation, technology and performance enhancements, whilst improving procurement agility, supply chain resilience and reducing the through life operational and support costs. The STA Framework is expected to enable the efficient and effective procurement of but not limited to the following Handheld and Weapon Mounted Surveillance & Target Acquisition capabilities. a. Direct View Optics b. Thermal Imagers c. Image Intensifiers d. Laser Enabled Devices e. Ancillaries (e.g. Thermal Targets) A condition of being on the STA Framework is for the Supplier to agree a sub-contract for the through life support and maintenance of delivered capabilities via the Surveillance Target Acquisition Support (STAS) Contract, should the Authority decide to use this contractual mechanism.
