The objective of the contract is to cover the contracting authorities' need for crushed stone, gravel and rock material in accordance with the requirements specification. It is a prerequisite that the tenderer has sufficient capacity to meet the contracting authority's need at any one time, in a satisfactory way. Tenderers must always have sufficient stocks of crushed stone, gravel and rock material for this contract. This means that the tenderer must not run out of the contract product at the tenderer's stockpile/sales location in the contract period. The contract products will be used in a broad spectrum of areas; roads, ditches, filling matter, etc. The products will be collected when the need arises. The scope of this framework agreement will vary from year to year, depending on many different framework factors, so it is difficult to predict. The contracting authority has therefore set an upper limit to this contract in order to ensure continuity in deliveries and an increased predictability for the contracting authority and the chosen tenderer.
