Description
The ambition is to initially invest over a period of up to 5 years (including extension options) starting around March 2026. It is hoped that this will allow development of an enduring breadth and depth of capacity and capability for the supplier base. The Sense Decide Effect S&T Integrator is expected to be led by a single provider who enables access to a diverse range of suppliers and subject matter experts. The delivery is anticipated to be in four phases: 1. Discover – Current capabilities, existing S&T investments, standards, emulations, and simulations. Breadth of suppliers and their capabilities and roles. 2. Build – Baseline integrated capabilities and evaluation. 3. Improve – Enhancement through alternative technologies or approaches. 4. Demonstrate – Combination of demonstration approaches to communicate the Sense Decide Effect utility and value from a range of technologies or approaches. Given the complexity of the Sense Decide Effect challenge, and the potential for unforeseen system properties and behaviours emerging through increasing technology integration, a highly collaborative approach is likely to offer the most value. The mix of potential stakeholders and their roles may change dynamically according to need, delivery phase, and the backlog of technologies.
