Description

The overall objective is to strengthen the capacity of the PMU created within the DGPC when the Sbikha-Jelma central highway project is implemented to enable it to fulfil its responsibilities as part of the five-year plan. The project as set out in the previous paragraph concerns the construction of a new highway which is urgently needed in order to improve access and develop the region, and also to ensure, in the long term, the improvement of the main trade routes in the greater Maghreb area. This project will also help in the medium term to strengthen the economic and social resilience of north / south-west Tunisia. The bank also intends to rely on the technical assistance for an assiduous adjournment of the project, independent from that of the promoter; this reporting should enable the anticipation of problems, and also propose sustainable and effective solutions adapted to the local context.
