Waterford R680 Green Route, Phase 2 - Site Investigation

Description

The Investigation project includes 15 no. Inspection Pits (10 no. Slit Trenches, 5 no. Trial Pit), 5 no. Boreholes and 4 no. Pavement Cores to determine the extent of services, pavement make up and ground conditions along the scheme as indicated on drawings 162030-9021 to 9025. The scheme is located in an urban environment, on or adjacent to live traffic routes. The scope of the investigation also includes Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) testing at 10m Chainage intervals as indicated on drawings 162030-9021 to 9025. The Works, to which this investigation will be utilised, will consist of the following; Construction of improved cycle, pedestrian and vehicular facilities along the existing streets highlighted in S1.2 including the construction of retaining walls and pavement upgrades.
