Summary of work Seeking an organisation to support Genomics England in the development of new websites that are currently in the pipeline and the maintenance and enhancements of its current core site. In particular, Genomics England require the following support on: CraftCMS Resource and time to support Genomics England in the development and ongoing maintenance of its main website which is running on CraftCMS. Where the supplied staff will work No specific location (for example they can work remotely) Why the work is being done Genomics England has a website that requires ongoing development and our current supplier contract expires in September 2023. We also have a requirement for a website to be developed to serve an study being launched in partnership with the NHS by our Newborns initiative in November 2023. The business problem Providing ongoing updates for the main Genomics England website, including application support - bug fixes, updates to UI, content updates where it cannot be managed in the CMS, updates to page structure to improve user experience. Maintaining production, test, and staging environments. Supporting Genomics England in the maintenance and governance matters around security and data protection. Supporting Genomics England in remaining compliant with government service standards – there are two service standards relevant to Genomics England and this business case: the Digital Service Standard and the NHS Service Standard (which is the same as the Digital Service Standard except it has been adapted for healthcare services). These standards are important as they ensure that public funded services are among the simplest, most accessible services around. They ensure all services are built and delivered to be user-centric, have a consistent experience, and are continuously improved. The people who will use the product or service User type: Potential or current research participant or family member Definition: Both websites User type: Clinicians and other research partners Definition: Genomics England website only User type: Potential employees Definition: Genomics England website only User type: Maternity staff Definition: Newborns website only User type: Current and potential research partners Definition: Both websites Which phase the project is in Not applicable Existing team The externally-facing website teams in Genomics England consist of head of digital comms (web admin), comms officer (web admin), product designer, content designer, user researcher, product manager and delivery manager (these roles work across the Newborns programme and other workstreams). Genomics England has internal multi-disciplinary teams with embedded Service Owners, Product Managers, Engineers and Bioinformaticians. The successful strategic supplier will may also be required to work alongside these extisting teams, to take responsibility for specific improvements and to deliver these according to Genomics England's architectural and engineering standard, in line with NHSx controls and the GDS code of practice. They may work alongside a broader supply chain offering digital design, platform engineering and architectural support. Address where the work will be done Genomics England, One Canada Square, London, E14 5AB Working arrangements Suppliers will deploy resources to work under the direction of Genomics England's Head of Digital Communications, Product Managers, Service Delivery Managers and Genomics England designers to deliver outcomes against specific statements of work and timelines. Progress against outcomes will be managed through transparent agile processes including a regular rhythm of update meetings. The supplier may occasionally be required to attend a session in-person at the London office, for which expenses will be reimbursed in line with the Genomics England staff policy. Can you confirm the latter is the latest start date (i.e. 14 August)? The latest contract start date will depend on the length of time taken between GEL and the chosen supplier to agree the particulars of the contract and initial SOW. The Genomics England website integrates with Smart Recruiters to pull in job posts via API, Podbean to pull in podcasts via API and Mailchimp to receive newsletter subscriptions.
