The contract has been directly awarded under Crown Commercial Services RM6259 - Vertical Application Solutions Lot 5: Blue Light Solutions. This decision was taken due to the stable performance of the current system, the critical interdependency with the force’s Police Records Management System (RMS), which is currently being retendered, and the significant cost of change. The contract is for an initial period of 7 years and includes the option of further extensions of up to 3 years in 12-month increments.
