The procurement of an Mills Cross ice radar sounder is for observations of bedrock and internal layers in the ice in the vinicity of the EGRIP camp on the North East Greenland ice stream NEGIS. The purchase and measurements are part of the newly funded Villum investigator grant IceFlow where the purpose is understand the flow and deformation of ice in an ice stream. The Radar is to be used on the Greenland ice sheet.
