Description
Tourism Ireland wishes to appoint a suitably qualified supplier to provide internal audit services. The role of the internal audit function is to conduct a programme of continuous review, which monitors the effectiveness of the system of internal controls, in order to provide reasonable assurance of operational efficiency, reliable financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Contract Period will be for three [3] years subject to budget and annual performance review, and other factors. The Contract will commence in August 2018. Minimum Requirements:- • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, CPA) or qualification in internal auditing (MIA, CIA) [for Account Manager] • A minimum of five years post qualifying experience in auditing practice or internal auditing. • Substantial audit exposure in the public sector environment and also in the commercial sector environment. • Experience of audits both in Northern Ireland and in the Republic of Ireland • Significant experience and knowledge of the audit of data processing systems and controls. * Adequate resources to fulfil the service requirements as outlined in Appendix 3 Section 5 [audits should be resourced adequately in terms of available personnel and expertise e.g. an IT Security and Change Management Review must be carried out by personnel with relevant IT expertise/qualifications]
