Description

Rolling programme of maintenance works for the electrical infrastructure system of the New Covent Garden Market site located at Vauxhall (9 Elms), London, SW8 5NX. The maintenance works will comprise the following activities: • preventative maintenance of LV infrastructure (scheduled and reactive); • coordination with specialist sub-contractors for preventive maintenance of HV infrastructure; • coordination with specialist sub-contractors for preventive maintenance of lightning protection, high mast lighting, CCTV, etc. The electrical contractor is to be NICEIC (or equivalent) registered and approved in order to ensure quality and compliance with the latest electrical regulations (BS7671 Latest Edition). Covent Garden Market Authority (CGMA) are looking to appoint a contractor to undertake a rolling programme of maintenance works for the electrical infrastructure system of the New Covent Garden Market site located at Vauxhall (9 Elms), London, SW8 5NX. The site is currently in phase 1 of its redevelopment, the total redevelopment consists of 6 phases. Each phase adds additional food grade warehouse units and removes sections of the existing market buildings and infrastructure dating back to 1974. Since its initial development, the market has been subject to a preventative maintenance programme covering all of its electrical infrastructure. The proposed contract will be a renewal of this maintenance strategy and will run through the final development phases of the site. The maintenance works will comprise the following activities: • preventative maintenance of LV infrastructure (scheduled and reactive on a 24/7 basis); • coordination with specialist sub-contractors for preventive maintenance of HV infrastructure; • coordination with specialist sub-contractors for preventive maintenance of lightning protection, high mast lighting, CCTV; etc. • the contractor is to supply all necessary labour (including supervision) and tools; • supply on a cost reimbursable basis competitively sourced materials and equipment. The electrical contractor is to be NICEIC (or equivalent) registered and approved in order to ensure quality and compliance with the latest relevant UK and European electrical regulations (i.e. BS7671 Latest Edition) and directives and the specification forming part of the contract.
