Proposed restoration of approx 229ha of peatland. The contract is split into two phases. Year 1 2025-26 totals 138.8ha and Year 2 2026-27 totals 90.2ha. Lot 1: This tender seeks to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to carry out peatland restoration on Caladh landholding. Caladh contains blanket bog habitat and is located approx. 3km north of Tighnabruaich on the Cowal Peninsula, Argyll. The site elevation ranges from 240-450m and is bounded by forestry blocks on Glean Caladh Farm land and the Archarossan Forest. For the purposes of restoration work, the holding has been split into two phases, to be carried out in winter 2025/26 and winter 2026/27. Phase 1 is a total of 138.8ha and is located on the upper section of the site (central grid reference NR 980 768). Phase 2 is a total of 90.2ha and is located on the lower section of the site (central grid reference NR 985 756).
