Description

East Staffordshire Borough Council is seeking suitably qualified Applicants to bid for the provision of a combined heat and power unit (“CHP Unit”) to provide electricity and heat for the Meadowside Leisure Centre. The CHP Unit is to be installed and operated at no capital cost to the Council under a discount energy purchasing agreement (“DEP”) for a period of ten years. Under the DEP, the Council will agree to purchase the electricity produced by the CHP Unit at an agreed rate for a period of ten years and pay for the gas consumed by the CHP Unit. Any heat generated by the CHP Unit will be supplied to the Council for use on the site free of charge.
