Action on Plastics - community-based pilot project delivery and evaluation

Description
The Action on Plastics programme seeks to appoint contractors who can pilot approaches to reduce the use of single-use items, which are predominantly made of plastic. This project will look to test solutions in practice to enable Zero Waste Scotland to give clear evidence around the most sustainable and effective ways to reduce reliance on disposable items. We are looking to see what can be achieved through mobilising action in communities on specific issues based on the latest research and evidence. These actions will need to be compatible with ambitions to reduce plastic consumption and increase reuse models, not simply change to alternative single-use materials without adequate life-cycle analysis.
