Description

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Road Safety Partnership (CPRSP) is a partnership between Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC), Peterborough City Council (PCC), Cambridgeshire Constabulary, BCH Joint Protective Services, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Public Health, The East of England Trauma Network, Cambridge University Hospitals, Highways England, The Road Victims Trust, and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. In relation to camera enforcement, each Highway Authority (CCC, PCC and Highways England) is responsible for the infrastructure on the highway, and BCH Joint Protective Services is responsible for the enforcement activity that is undertaken. This contract relates specifically to speed enforcement cameras on CCC and PCC's road network and CCC is leading this procurement on behalf of the Partnership with support from LGSS. Lot 1: Lot 1: Short Urban Camera sites in lot 1 are all in urban, street-lit locations where enforcement is required to operate over a short section of carriageway. Lot 2: Lot 2: Short Rural Camera sites in lot 2 are all in rural locations where enforcement is required to operate over a short section of carriageway. Lot 3: Lot 3: Extended Urban Camera sites in lot 3 are all in urban, street-lit locations where enforcement is required to operate over a short section of carriageway but where there would be clear added value in extending the distance covered by enforcement. Lot 4: Lot 4: Urban Route Camera sites in lot 4 are all along a single route, which includes the A605 through Whittlesey and the B1092 through Stanground. Lot 5: Lot 5: Rural Route Camera sites in lot 5 are on rural routes where mobile enforcement is also regularly undertaken and a route-based solution is considered more appropriate than the existing fixed camera.
