23/00423 Award of contract for refrigeration machines for the Biobank - NIPH

Description

The procurement of 2 refrigeration machines for the Biobank - NIPH. Lot 1: The Norwegian Institute of Public Health shall during 2023 prioritise procurements of fluid/water for ice water machines at the Department of Biobanks The current machines include two Clivet WSH-XSC65Ds with195kW cooling capacity from each machine. The cooling capacity during summer seasons is maximised and all 8 compressors are operated simultaneously. NIPH is open to the idea that new machines should increase the cooling capacity. The current ice water tank is 2,000 litres. The ice water plant comprises fan coils and computer room coolers that cools down approx. 2,000 m2 open areas for ultra and cryofreezers. DX room coolers are also installed as backup systems. The condenser circuit supplies five refrigeration plants connected to a Hamilton system which the Department for Biobanks considers critical. The remaining heat energy is dumped via dry coolers. These have a total effect of 720kW. New refrigeration machines shall be connected to the current Industrial control system (Norwegian SD) for alarm signals.
