Description

This notice is intended to communicate that NHS Mid and South Essex ICB (herein referred to as the 'Authority') intends to award a contract to an existing provider, under the Provider Selection Regime DAP C process. The decision to award the contract via Direct Award Process C is based on the provider's established capability, proven track record, and alignment with system priorities. The provider is currently delivering the service to a satisfactory standard and continues to meet all quality, performance, and governance requirements. They are an established organisation operating both locally and regionally, with a demonstrable ability to maintain continuity of care and respond to evolving system needs. Awarding the contract through this process supports service stability, avoids disruption to patient care, and enables ongoing collaboration with a provider that is embedded within the local system. The provider's willingness to innovate and expand provision in response to demand further supports the rationale for a direct award in line with the objectives of the PSR. The contract will commence on 8th July 2025 and expire on the 3rd January 2027. The value of the contract is £28m.
