The company plans to hold a contest for the establishment of a framework agreement for the procurement of odorant in the autumn of 2022. The contract may have a duration of up to 6 years (including options) and is expected to have an average annual volume of approx. 1,000 litres liquid tetrahydrothiophene (THT). additionally, the contract may apply to other value-added services that the tenderer is able to offer. The objective of this RFI is to: • Carry out a market research to gain better insight into the suppliers' assortment and the supplier market (the opportunity space) • Investigate which framework terms are underlying for the tenderers • Assess the use of the information received in the market survey for the planning of the procurement/the call for tenders. Lot 1: The company plans to hold a contest for the establishment of a framework agreement for the procurement of odorant in the autumn of 2022. The contract may have a duration of up to 6 years (including options) and is expected to have an average annual volume of approx. 1,000 litres liquid tetrahydrothiophene (THT). additionally, the contract may apply to other value-added services that the tenderer is able to offer. The company needs to increase its insight into the scope of opportunities and underlying framework conditions in the tenderer market in order to satisfactorily meet the descriptions and conditions in a future contest. In order to achieve this, tenderers are asked to fill out Annex 1 – Questionnaire, which is further explained in section 4. The questionnaire consists of the following sections: • Tetrahydrothiophene (THT). The company currently uses the odorant tetrahydrothiophene (THT) as an additive for distributed natural gas. • Price structure. The company wants predictability in terms of the prices of delivered odorant. Meanwhile, the Company is aware that there are huge price fluctuations in the global market for raw materials, and that it is therefore a great risk for tenderers to commit to fixed prices over a period of several years. The company hopes that this RFI can help them to find a price structure that satisfies the Company's need for predictability without the tenderer taking on undue risk. • Delivery times. The Company wants predictability in terms of delivery times. • Any additional services. The Company would like information on which additional services the tenderer can supply in connection with expansion of the delivery of odorant. Examples of relevant additional services can be inspection and repair of containers, as well as exchange for new containers.
