Description
Explore the development and enhancement of phased, multi-scale marine governance in England, to better engage local stakeholders, and achieve equitable outcomes through more inclusive and participatory decision-making. The project will take an adaptive, learning-based approach to review existing approaches to local governance in a coastal and marine context and consider how these processes could be enhanced or augmented by the MMO as part of their marine planning delivery, to promote well-functioning marine governance across scales. The project will identify the scope, scale and geography of a pilot area, and a roadmap to on-the-ground implementation in FY24/25. This contract was awarded by MMO.
